Forestry
The City of Cedarburg has been recognized by the National Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA for over 22 consecutive years. The Parks & Forestry Dept. is responsible for tree planting, maintenance and removal of over 8,000 street trees and hundreds of trees located in City parks, cemeteries and other public property. The Parks & Forestry staff consists of the Parks & Forestry Superintendent/City Forester and three full-time crewpersons. Parks & Forestry has two ISA Certified Arborists on staff and utilizes the assistance of DPW employees when available to help with forestry operations. All Parks & Forestry staff are on-call 24/7 to respond to tree emergencies.
